Ocean software module, Coding System, is a part of the system package Ocean Standardization and it is a central point in the system where the objects, documents or data get their code representation ensuring data uniformity in the whole system without double entry and double updating.
The module, Ocean Coding System contains a system code categories which are pre-defined and exploitation code categories which are specific for an organization of a user.

Unlimited number of look-up tables
Operations over look-up tables: update and overview/printing,
Look-up tables are available to all modules and applications
Codes Hierarchy
Codes – parts of lookup tables
Both numeric and alphanumeric
One look-up table cannot contain two identical codes
Code status: active or inactive
System look-up tables: predefined
Language, script, class of chart of account, balance type, are not changed,
Exploitation lookup tables: formed at the system implementation
Business partners, external associates, locations, tariff numbers/groups
It is possible to define links between two lookup tables
No double codes for one object
Codes can be accessed by all users
Codes are open to all modules
No limits on the number of codes (numeric into alphanumeric)
On-line adding of new look-up tables
Maintaining of look-up tables
Administered by users authorized to administer the specific look-up table
Administrator role: defining, administering, review and printing of look-up tables
